Tim Sansone: Monster Tree Service 2025 Franchise Owner of the Year

Each year, Monster Tree Service honors a franchise owner who truly embodies the brand's values and model. The Franchise Owner of the Year award is about more than performance; it reflects leadership, culture, and embodying company values.

In 2025, the Monster Tree Service team was proud to honor Tim Sansone, owner of Monster Tree Service of St. Louis, MO, with this distinction.

Since opening his business in 2018, Tim has weathered every challenge the tree care industry can present. “Through it all, Tim has remained relentless in his pursuit of growth, both as a business owner and as a person,” said Rob White, Brand President of Monster Tree Service.

The commitment translated into significant growth in 2025, but Tim’s impact goes far beyond numbers.

“What truly sets Tim apart is something you may not always see on a spreadsheet. He genuinely cares about his people. He believes in bringing out the best in those around him, values loyalty and honesty, and gives that same respect in return,” Rob said. Through that approach, Tim has built more than a successful business – he’s built a team that’s engaged, trusted, and ready to take on whatever comes next.

Congratulations to Tim Sansone on being named Monster Tree Service 2025 Franchise Owner of the Year. Your dedication, growth, and commitment to your team inspire everyone across the franchise!

Following the award recognition, we spoke with Tim to hear more about his experience of being a franchise owner with Monster Tree Service. Check out the Q&A below to hear more from Tim.

How many years have you been a franchise owner with your brand?

8

What was your professional background before becoming a franchise owner?

I worked full-time in commercial real estate development, property management, and brokerage. I continue to invest in real estate today, as well as running my other businesses

What do you feel has been the biggest benefit of being part of a franchise?

The ability to network with Franchisees around the country, learn from them, and share best practices. Also, having technology, branding, and marketing in place so I do not have to deal with that, which is not my strong suit.

What support from Authority Brands has been most impactful to your business?

Technology that has been provided, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Websites, Google Marketing, etc. Also, regional support personnel and Monster Tree executives have been very supportive

What do you credit your success to?

God and my catholic faith first and foremost.

Then my father, who I worked with for 36 years. He taught me how to work and how to never make excuses in life or business, to take full responsibility for your results, good or bad. He also impressed upon me to never be complacent; he was relentless on that and thank God he was. A great man and teacher, but a tough one for sure!

Also, a loving and supportive wife who has my back at all times.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining a franchise?

A franchise is a great way to build and own a business. Take advantage of all the resources the franchisor makes available to you; they are invaluable as you scale. Do not, however, fall into the trap of expecting the franchisor to deliver you success. That is not their job. They are there to provide you every opportunity to achieve success by providing resources, advice, direction, best practices, etc., but success or failure always falls on the franchisee.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Spending time with my wife and six kids, as well as my extended family. Traveling, working out, reading, helping my kids with their careers, and just being available to help family and other people in any way I can.
