In just two and a half years, Tara Sobek has transformed a passion for pets into an award-winning Woofie’s business. The owner of Woofie’s West Orlando, FL, was named the brand’s 2025 Franchise of the Year at the 2026 Woofie’s Summit, a recognition of the exceptional service, steady growth, and community connections behind her success.

She has even helped grow the Woofie’s network by referring a new owner to the system, reflecting both her confidence in the business model and her commitment to helping others succeed. As Tara expands her operation and invests in her team, she continues to embody the entrepreneurial drive and leadership moving Woofie’s forward.

What do you credit your success to?
I have an amazing team that loves Woofie's as much as I do. Their hearts are with animals, and everyone goes above and beyond to care for our clients. This care has established our reputation within the community, and I am forever grateful and proud of my team.
What advice would you give to someone considering joining a franchise?
Follow the playbook and advice of those who have done it. Use the support in place and get to know the fellow owners.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with family and friends, traveling, Pilates, and Mahjong!
